On Friday, 22nd June, we celebrated the accomplishments of our 11th graduating class at Northfields International High School. Many of our graduates had been with us for seven years, while others had joined us much more recently, but together they have grown to be a close-knit, happy group who we are sure will carry with them many fond memories of their time at Northfields.
We were very fortunate to have with us as our Guest of Honour for the ceremony Ambassador Mrs Usha Chandnee Dwarka-Canabady, Secretary for Foreign Affairs of Mauritius. She spoke very eloquently on the value of formal education and practical experience as our graduates move on to the next stages of their lives.
We also enjoyed the reflections and advice offered by their Form Tutors, Mrs Burtenshaw and Mr Nixon. They both infused wisdom and humour into their final messages to their classes, which meant a great deal to the graduates and their parents.
Finally, we heard the thoughts of our Senior Prefects, who reminisced on their time together over the years and anticipated the challenge and excitement that lie ahead for all. Shankaren, Elise, Max and Kira all spoke very eloquently and elicited great rounds of applause.
We wish all of our graduating class of 2018 the very best for the future.
