On Friday 10th June 2022, we celebrated the graduation of the Class of 2022. Despite ongoing restrictions with regards to gatherings, we were able to welcome graduates and some guests to mark the end of their time at Northfields.
Adorned in their graduation gowns and mortarboards, students braved the cooler weather, and some rain to join together to celebrate this special occasion with the usual sense of nostalgia for the past and excitement for the future.
Our Guest of Honour, Mr Shaun Payen spoke to the graduates about the importance of perseverance but also the recognition of the sacrifice made by parents to allow them to pursue their dreams.
Our form tutors Mr Gopaul, Ms Prayag, Ms Canakiah and Ms Burtenshaw conducted the graduation of their respective classes with a sense of pride, and the appreciation of students for their form tutors contribution to their development was evident.
Victoria and Vidya spoke on behalf of the graduates to thank parents, staff and friends for their support through their high school years whilst Clemence and Tiya’s musical performance was a memorable testimony to the talent of Northfields’ students. We wish the graduating Class of 2022 all the best of luck as they pursue their individual paths in life.
