CULTURAL EVENTS

Cultural awareness and participation play an integral role in a Northfields’ student’s education.
Our cultural programme has the following aims:
• To give all students the opportunity to be involved in culturally enriching activities.
• To give those students with special talents a chance to extend themselves and to grow in their area of expertise.
• To expand our students’ appreciation of cultural activities.

Religious Festivals
Celebrating events and festivals in schools have become an integral part of learning and building a strong cultural belief in a child. Northfields encourages students to embrace other traditions and culture just like the way they do with their own. We celebrate Chinese New Year, Diwali, Eid and Christmas in order to understand our country’s tradition.
Such celebration will bring students closer to traditional and cultural belief. A close bond is built between the students as they understand each other’s different customs. Being a diverse country, the students need to know what each festival means, and it is only through this celebration, he/she will get to know more about our country.
Apart from building relationship and friendship, such celebration will bring happiness and love amongst the students.Every year at Northfields, we offer a range of cultural events that students can participate in, to develop various key skills, build confidence, to encourage team spirit and to generally have fun!
