Northfields was filled with patriotism and joy as we celebrated National Day! Our students embarked on a memorable journey with two captivating assemblies—one for the vibrant primary section and another for our dedicated secondary students.

Our secondary school choir added to the occasion by leading the school in singing the national anthem, followed by a heartwarming performance of the Mauritian song titled “Nou Zenfan Pei Moris.” A highlight of the day was the enchanting performance by the talented Mauritian artist Annega. She graced us with her brand-new single, “Losean” (meaning “the ocean”), released on the same day. Annega’s powerful message resonated with our students, reminding them of the importance of preserving and nurturing the natural beauty of our island home.

It was heartwarming to witness the students’ patriotism as they animatedly waved the Mauritian flag.
