Password reset guides

Forgotten password – How to retrieve your password?

Microsoft 365 SSPR (Self-service password reset)

  • To simplify the process of resetting forgotten passwords for the school email and Microsoft Teams without contacting IT Services, we are pleased to inform that students can now reset their password on their own and from any location.
  • A preliminary setup is required to have this feature activated and which will require 3 different validation levels, namely your mobile phone, personal email address and security questions. Once this setup is done, you or your child will be able to reset the password using one of the 3 validation methods. Please refer to the ‘SSPR Enrolment Guide’ for the preliminary setup and the ‘Password Reset Guide’ for resetting forgotten passwords.
  • It is highly recommended that students change their passwords regularly specially if they feel that it might be known or was disclosed to someone else and also to have complex passwords which will be difficult to guess or crack. The password complexity requirements are defined in the ‘Password Reset Guide’
BYOD & Device Configuration

For student devices setup to access the school WiFi and the required apps, we have setup a system through Microsoft Intune to automate these setups from home. Please refer to the below video guides specific to your child’s device type to complete the setup. Note that you will require the school email account and password to do the setup:

If you are unable to complete the setup of Microsoft Intune, then the following apps need to be installed or bookmarked on their web browser as appropriate:

  • Microsoft 365 (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive, Outlook and Teams)

Cybersecurity tips

As technology becomes more integrated into education, schools face cybersecurity risks.

Students need to be aware of these risks and take steps to protect themselves online.

Below are some simple tips:

  • Strong Passwords: Use unique and strong passwords for your accounts. Avoid using easy-to-guess information and always change the default password provided by the school.
  • Protect Your Privacy on social media: Review privacy settings and limit the personal information you share publicly. Be cautious about accepting friend requests from unknown individuals.
  • Watch Out for Phishing: Be cautious of suspicious emails or messages asking for personal information. Verify the sender’s credibility before clicking on links.
  • Update Software: Keep your devices up to date with the latest security patches and updates.
  • Report Security Incidents: If you notice any suspicious activities or security breaches, report them immediately to your teacher or to the IT Services department.
