A standing ovation for the cast and crew of Moana Junior!
Mauritius was captivated by the performance of Northfields students at the Caudan Arts Centre from the 7th to the 9th of March. The performance, months in the making, was sold out for all three nights. Our secondary and primary students, under the direction of Mrs. Ribbonaar, worked tirelessly with the support of Mr. Ribbonaar (choreography) and Mrs. Dalais (chorus), rehearsing after school and on weekends. The talented cast, crew, props team, and creative team delivered a production that will leave a lasting impression. The show was breathtaking, with all performers thoroughly enjoying being part of the experience.
This performance would not have been possible without the support of our entire school community, including our parents who not only drove students to and from rehearsals but also helped in making props. Ms. Hamilton from the Art department was also instrumental in bringing the vision of the puppets to life.
Our performers have gained so much from this experience: resilience, perseverance, teamwork, and, most of all, the shared experience that will remain with them forever.
As a first for Northfields, we cannot thank Mrs. Ribbonaar enough for her commitment to this project and for inspiring our learners.
Special thanks to Sejas Mistry Photography for capturing these professional photos of the production, ensuring it will not be forgotten.
